What’s New in Dynamics GP 18.3 October 2020 Release?

The newest version of Microsoft Dynamics GP was released this October. This release came with many financial, distribution and system enhancements plus new features and bug fixes.


Here is a list of what’s new!


Financial Upgrades

  • Starting at the end of this year, Microsoft will include the new 1099-NEC form for payables Non-Employee Compensation reporting requirements.

  • The DBA Name Field is added on the Vendor Card and 1099 form updates.

  • New User Defined Fields on Payables Transactions. This year, two more UDF fields will be available on the invoices.

  • When running the Reconcile GL option, you will now be able to reconcile all years at once instead of one at a time.

  • A New User Defined Field available in GL Entries for more reporting.

  • Matching Excel Copy/Paste decimal places to what is in the Currency Setup controls.

  • The ability to use Copy/Paste functionality in Payables invoices just like in GL Entries.

  • Import of a credit card statement to a vendor account. You are now able to import as payable invoices or manual payments.

  • Remove fully applied Multicurrency documents from PM HATB.

Distribution Upgrades

  • You now can start a stock count and then export to excel, update the value and import back into the stock count in GP.

  • Ability to print all sales documents in a batch regardless if it was emailed or not. As well, you can setup to only print documents if they have not been emailed in a batch.

  • Disable system print dialog box when printing a word template.

  • You will also be able to mask the Social Security Number on HR reports.

System Upgrades

  • Will have the ability to use Multi-Factor Authentication for e-mail functionality.

  • Support for TLS 1.2. It is now able to function with TSL 1.0 and 1.1 disabled.

  • Maximizing GP reports on "print to screen" rather than needing to resize the window.

  • New column added to Smartlist edit. This will allow you to select multiple columns and remove all at once.

  • Ability to schedule check links. You will need to setup report scheduler for this to work and save per user column layouts on home page.

  • And, of course the requisite Bug Fixes!

Important Info: Dynamics GP 2015

It is also important to note that Dynamics GP 2015 will get no further updates. As well, if you are on any version below GP 2015 your Mainstream Support has ended. You should look into upgrading as soon as possible!
